Breakout #4: TOMMY ORANGE: WANDERING STARS

By:

The extraordinary gifts and eloquent despair of TOMMY ORANGE were apparent in his knockout debut novel, There There, a story about the lives of urban Native Americans. His new book, Wandering Stars, is a heart-searing follow-up, a centuries-spanning epic of a family surviving the long-term effects of massacre and forced assimilation. Through his vividly drawn characters, Orange, an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes, is telling us a profound part of the American Story. In conversation with JENNY EMERY DAVIDSON, Executive Director of The Community Library in Ketchum, Orange will talk about the new book and why he must tell these stories.

July 22
11:00 am — 12:00 pm
